El Puente Baluarte
Tower and cable stays on El Puente Baluarte. The old mountain road from Mazatlan to Durango was great for adventure with 'millions' of hairpin bends, but dangerous and slow as a means of crossing the Sierra Madre Occidental. Now there is a new autopista and the crowning monument is the world's highest cable-stayed bridge. Traveling from Mazatlan, we passed through more than 40 tunnels before we arrived at the bridge. Stopping is prohibited and so this photo was taken through the car windscreen. However, many live life on the adventurous side, stopping, crossing the road and leaning over the barriers as they take their selfies. Taken with Canon 5Diii and 24-105mm at 24 mm. Exposure was 1/500 sec at f/8.0; ISO 100
