Horse Head Rock, Prawle Point, Devon
Our last day of our trip to Devon and we set ourselves the target of photographing the Horses Head Rock, a natural arch at the base of the southern most point of Devon. We headed 'straight' to East Prawle, only to find that the road down to the Coastguard Lookout carpark was closed to traffic. Heavily loaded with cameras, telephotos and tripods, we headed down the track just to the east of Prawle Point until we encountered the coast path. At this point there was no sign of the famed arch, so turning east we walked along the path towards Langerstone Point until we could see through the arch. Taken on 6 October 2022 at 13:30 (BST) with 100-400mm telephoto. Exposure 1/100 sec at f/14; ISO 100.
