It has been around 20 years since we were last in the Lake District. A most amazing place for someone who lives in the fens. Here is the best of those moody mornings from a 5 day trip which I hope will be repeated again soon.

Congress of ghostly stripes
As we walked through the forest the mist came down and turned the snow-covered trees into a congress of grey ghostly stripes. Taken at midday on 30 January 2019 on west side of Tarn Hows near Coniston Water, Lake District. Canon 5Diii and 24-105mm at 93 mm. Exposure was 1/30 sec at f/8.0; ISO 100
