East of the A14
If you travel north from Cambridge then on the right side of the A14 the landscape seems to have only slightly more height variation than a snooker table. The spot height for our street is 7 m above sea level although the sea is presently 70 km to the east. This is the start of the fens and a mixture of photographs that capture the essence of the fenland landscape.

Smoke on the river
Half an hour after sunrise and the sun is well and truly into the golden hour. To maximize the golden effect here we are shooting with the sun just out of frame on the left. Given the early hour it was very quiet and even the silence was golden. Taken on 3 July 2019 at 05:15 with Canon 7Dii and 100-400mm at 400 mm. Exposure was 1/100 sec at f/16; ISO 100
