East of the A14
If you travel north from Cambridge then on the right side of the A14 the landscape seems to have only slightly more height variation than a snooker table. The spot height for our street is 7 m above sea level although the sea is presently 70 km to the east. This is the start of the fens and a mixture of photographs that capture the essence of the fenland landscape.

If Cambridge did Tuscany
Friday 29th June was warm but it started all misty. Lola and I walked up to the river just after dawn and it was still a misty morning as we returned down The Causeway. Out across the fields I saw these small trees standing out against the mist. The buildings and hedges behind were hidden and it made me think of trees against the skyline on those misty-mornings in Tuscany (minus the rolling hills of course). Taken at 08:03 BST with Canon 7Dii and 100-400mm at 400 mm. Exposure was 1/50 sec at f/16; ISO 100
