East of the A14
If you travel north from Cambridge then on the right side of the A14 the landscape seems to have only slightly more height variation than a snooker table. The spot height for our street is 7 m above sea level although the sea is presently 70 km to the east. This is the start of the fens and a mixture of photographs that capture the essence of the fenland landscape.

Mist in Nine Acre
I have been waiting for some time for a misty morning in Nine Acre Wood. At the edge of the wood are these 3 rows of silver birches. Under normal lighting it is difficult to separate the birches from the trees either side and behind. However the mist and a conversion to black & white emphasizes the trunks and removes the background clutter. Worth the walk and having to take Lola through a field with a bull in it. Taken from the River Great Ouse embankment near Aldreth, Cambridge, at 06:30 BST on 29 June 2019. Canon 5Diii and 24-105mm at 105 mm. Exposure was 0.6 sec at f/16; ISO 100
