Deploying mooring sub-surface buoy

The mooring deployment starts with the sub-surface buoy. The sensors (ADCP, CTD, pH, CO2) are installed in the holes on the top of the buoy. This buoy will sit at 200 m below the surface of the water for the next year. Between this buoy and the seabed are a series of sediment traps and the water sampler.
